Plan Your Wedding in Downtown Springdale Series: Venue

If you drive down Emma Avenue in Springdale you might be surprised to see that nearly everything one needs in order to plan a beautiful wedding is right there at your fingertips. Imagine how much less stressful wedding planning would be if you knew every stop you needed to make was within reasonable walking distance of the other! From formal attire and venues to catering and everything in between, you will love what you find along Emma Avenue!

The Apollo on Emma

Across the street from Bride ‘N Groom and half a block down you will find The Apollo on Emma.

The Apollo On Emma

Originally a luxury movie theatre, The Apollo opened in the late 1940s. Its velvet curtains and seats and antique laden lobby were the pride of then-owner Bill Sonneman. The jewel of this opulent venue was the marble statue of the Greek god Apollo that stood in the main foyer. It was from this piece that the showhouse received its name. The first movie shown was It’s a Great Feeling starring Doris Day and as an additional treat, the Apollo kept its guests feeling cool and refreshed by offering their unique specialty drink: pickle juice over crushed ice.

The Apollo on Emma has since been lovingly remodeled and reopened its doors in 2017 as a wedding and event venue. The lobby has been reinstated to all its original glory and as you walk through the doors you will find yourself in awe of the gorgeous marble floors, 20ft coffered ceilings, Art Deco era chandeliers, floor to ceiling mirror dating back to the 1800s and, of course, Apollo himself.

“What sets us apart from other venues in NWA is that you do not have to spend a lot of money to make the inside ceremony or reception space a space that WOWs you and your fiancé and your wedding guests. We are not a big blank white space, but are very versatile. Our venue can accommodate any inspiration you have for creating your dream wedding.”

–Heidi Ann Faires: General Manager, Event Designer/Planner

Heidi has been in the wedding industry for 12+ years. She is the foremost Apollo guru planning and designing events for all Apollo clients.
